Lesi General karena Infestasi Demodex sp |
Having a pets like dogs and cats are precious thing,
give us an enjoy feeling and also could be reducing the stress of daily
activities. Nursing care for our pets is not only just take care of their food,
but also have notice the health status of our pets that we keep. For example,
by knowing if the our dog or cat have a pain especially because of their skin
health. Our cat and dog can be
infected by species of parasites on the skin and ears are like infestation of
otodectes sp., Scabies sp., And demodex sp. and usually we can known as ear
mites, scabiosis and demodecosis. The first case to discussed is ear mites or
fleas in the ear, which is parasitic infection caused by the parasite otodectes
sp. Pet that infected with otodectes sp. or ear mites will be pruritus, which
often leads to self inflicted trauma. Parasitic on these ears have legs as a
means of sucking blood, causing itching of the animal patient and also in case
which are neglected for a number of months the whole skin on ear may be
involved, pets becoming progressively weak and emaciated. Nursing care for our
pet if we observe a dog or cat infected by ear mites, so that is immediately
brought to the vet to ensure further examination and get the best treatment. Precautions in order to our pet couldn’t
be infected with these parasites is ear cleaning dog or cat regularly with use
cuton bud, do not need to be often, but regularly about two or three times a
week.
A parasitic infection that often affects
both our dogs and cats are scabies sp. or commonly known as scabiosis or
scabies. These parasites normally live in the skin actually on the epidermis or
at the edge of the surface of skin. The pruritus is caused by a parasite
scabies sp. and could be makes our dog and cat scratching or rubbing the
infected part on a hard object, causing blisters or sores and hair loss. After
a primary infection dogs begin to scratch within a week, often before lesions
are visible. In cases which are neglected for a number of months the whole skin
surface may be involved, dogs becoming progressively weak and emaciated: a
strong sour odour is a notable feature of this form of mange. Infected area
usually around snout nose, ears and legs on the sidelines of the dogs and cats.
If we found such a experienced by our dog or cat then immediately taken to the
vet to be checked for sure and get the appropriate treatment before it's too
late, because if we are late for caring by experienced our pets it can be bad
thing for our pets life. Prevention could be that do not often let our pet
playing in the ground and is also having contact with an infected animal
parasites. And also worth notice that the scabies infection sp. also
transmitted to humans hence if our dogs or cats are infected with this parasite
then immediately wash hands and use antiseptic after playing with them.
The third parasitic
infection are demodex sp. or commonly known as demodecosis disease. This
parasite normally lives in hair follicles or sebaceous glands in the hair
therefore it could not be observed by naked eye. These parasite most commonly
in dog than rarely in cat. If dogs or cats are infected with this parasite will
cause pruritus, inflamed lesions or sores in the area of the ear, snout nose
and between the legs and this parasitic infection causes decrease the immune
system of immunity or dogs or cats if badly infected. There are two types
infection of demodecosis namely local and general infection. Early in infection
there is a slight loss of hair on the face and forelimbs, followed by
thickening of thc skin, and the mange may progress no further than the
incontact arcas; many of these localized mild infections resolve spontaneously
without treatment. Demodex sp. is also transmitted to humans, so we are as an
owner also must be vigilant against this parasitic infection. If our pets are
infected, therefore immediately take it to a veterinarian to ensure diagnosis
and proper treatment for our pets. Prevention is does not often allow pets to
play in the ground, contact with the infected pets, having a our pets regularly
skin check up with your veterinarian to ensure the health of their skin.
